The People’s Deputy from Petro Poroshenko Bloc Viktor Chumak believes that Russia is not willing to implement a peace plan of any kind.

There is a war of roadblocks and seizing territories and settlements in Ukraine. It is a mobile war, in which the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) must exhaust the enemy. The People’s Deputy Viktor Chumak said it in the comment to the GORDON .

"We have a territorial war, a war of roadblocks, a war of seizing territories, a war of settlements. It is a mobile war. It is fully logical that if the enemy’s forces left some place, it is in this direction that a counter-attack must be carried out, and the territory must be fought back. It is a military tactics, and it is absolutely correct. Exhausting the enemy, clinging to every meter of ground and seizing territory, settlements, villages, strategic objects, roads, roadblocks, and crossroads," Chumak reported.

In his opinion, one must be ready for firing in the places where VSU headquarters are located.

"War is war. The terrorists had a mission to seize Kramatorsk or Debaltsevo. If the terrorists fired at Kramatorsk, it means that their principal target is the ATO headquarters. Is it another round of escalation? Probably, so. Places where the command and headquarters are located must be prepared for shelling at all times. It is just war. And our troops are doing everything absolutely right. If they concentrate forces in one place, they withdraw them from another place," the people’s deputy siad.

Chumak considers that there are no reasons to expect peace after the negotiations in Minsk.

"We all hope that there will be peace after the negotiations in Minsk, But I do not see it objectively. I want it very much. Probably, there will be another truce, temporary again, but what is there to discuss if none of the parties have achieved any results... This will be a truce under shells, under fire because I do not believe that the enemy is willing to implement a peace plan of any kind. If we speak about our requirements to this new plan, they suggest enemy’s complete capitulation, it means withdrawal of troops, control over the border, elections under Ukrainian laws. Do you believe that they will do it? How can I believe it?" he said.
