The ban of the Russian series is obscurantism and the Middle Ages. Because people should not be forbidden anything. Each person can watch what he wants. Commented David Babaev, People's artist of Ukraine, actor of the Lesya Ukrainka Theater of Russian Drama, to the GORDON .

Everything that is going on now is obscurantism, all these bans and disconnection of channels, is obscurantism and the Middle Ages. People should not be forbidden anything. Each person can watch what he wants. And it is impossible to forbid something nowadays. Anyway, I will open the Internet and watch what I need. I will buy a CD and watch what I want. Generally, nobody cannot forbid anything to no one within reasonable limits and, as we say, in a free and democratic country. They are not democrats, they are obscurantists.

We should create our own products, our own television, write our own books, draw our own pictures rather than forbid. If we cannot do it, we must study on the best samples. If we cannot write books, we should not forbid the Russian literature, which is the best in the world. Every single person in this country knows Russian, and it is a lucky opportunity to study and read the Russian literature, I repeat, the greatest one in the world. But not forbid it.

Why did not these questions arise before? Who wants – watches. Who does not want – does not watch. I do not watch "Cops" (original "Menty" - the GORDON), of course. Generally, I do not watch series. But if there is something decent why not watch it. Our national idiocy went beyond all limits because it is nonsense to speak about the Russian spirit by the example of "Cops" (original "Menty" - the GORDON)! There are good people, there are bad people. What is the difference what nationality they are? If the person does something positive, we should learn from this person, and not because he is Russian, Ukrainian, Jew or Tatar.
