The Ukrainian government is rushing between reckless undertakings trying to keep the fighting spirit among the population, believes the Russian military expert Alexander Golts.

Ukraine must create a motivated well-paid army, the Russian military expert Alexander Golts said in the comment to the GORDON .

"Ukraine must forget about "beating the enemy" for at least five years until it reforms its Armed Forces. Otherwise, if something is purchased, it will be just a scrap pile. A new motivated and well-paid army must be created. That is so. I sympathize with Ukraine, I consider it a victim of aggression. However, Ukrainian leaders rush between reckless undertakings, obviously, trying to keep the fighting spirit among the population. Unfortunately, it cannot do any good," the expert reported.

According to Golts, the question of purchasing arms from the UAE was raised at the same time that Russia was preparing to announce joint manufacture with the Arabs.
"There are enterprises for manufacture and upgrading artillery systems in the Arab Emirates, but there is no serious military industry comparable to the Ukrainian one. The irony is that Poroshenko declared about his plans at the same time that Russia was planning to announce joint manufacture of artillery units with the United Arab Emirates. Is not it in the list of arms purchased by Poroshenko?" Golts said.
