Nemtsov: Shooting the bus in Volnovakha is similar to the story with Boeing in terms of perception of the Kremlin
The Kremlin propaganda works towards stating that the act of terrorism in Volnovakha has been committed by the Ukrainian military and that they have shot their own people. This opinion was expressed by the Russian oppositionist Boris Nemtsov in his comment to the GORDON .
"Shooting the bus in Volnovakha is similar to the story with Boeing in terms of perception of the Kremlin. They state in an open and impudent manner that this was done by the Ukrainian military. When Putin will be incriminated this as an obvious violation of the Minsk accords, he will say, "We are not to blame, you are to blame." He is perfectly aware of how much his positions will be weakened if the fact that the bandits are to blame will be recognized, though it is obvious for me," the politician reported.
According to Nemtsov, all Russian propaganda is now working towards stating that it was done "by the Ukrainian military", that "they have shot their own people". "I have no illusions that it may influence something, no. It cannot influence anything, and it is obvious. The relations are becoming even more terrible, but it cannot influence anything. Putin will act a fool, as he can do it, he is clever. That is it," the oppositionist stressed.
The leader of the RPR-PARNAS believes that the Ukrainian military are not fully prepared to resist a full-fledged attack of the Russian army. "Emotionally, I understand people who urge Ukraine to fight now. But the question is whether the chances for a victory are high. If the chances are not 100%, let us say, how much must be paid to break even? How many lives not how much money," he emphasized.
According to the politician, before making the decision "one must always answer questions and not only rely on emotions." "Is Ukraine in its present state able to defeat Putin’s army? No, it is not. Why do it? To have more victims?" Nemtsov summed up.
