Boris Lozhkin: The Jewish Confederation of Ukraine is alarmed by the repeated act of anti-Semitism
Taking into account the identical letters that the vandals left on the desecrated monuments to the victims of the Holocaust in the Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions, we can talk about an anti-Semitic organization, which makes the situation dangerous for the Ukrainian Jews, since such organizations rarely stop at the desecration of monuments, said the president of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine Boris Lozhkin.
The Jewish Confederation of Ukraine (JCU) is alarmed by the repeated acts of anti-Semitism, said the President of the Organization Boris Lozhkin on his Facebook page on September 17.
“On Sunday, vandals desecrated a monument to the Holocaust victims in the Mykolaiv region, by painting it with swastikas and pasting a piece of paper with threats. The same text has been found today on another desecrated monument – but already in the Kirovohrad region,” he noted.
Taking into account the identical text, we can talk about an anti-Semitic organization, which makes the situation dangerous for the Ukrainian Jews, since anti-Semitic organizations rarely stop at the desecration of monuments, stressed Lozhkin.
“We urge the law enforcement authorities to approach the issue of finding the criminals as responsibly as possible. The Jewish Confederation of Ukraine is greatly concerned by a series of anti-Semitic acts of vandalism,” said the head of the organization.
The JCU on its website called on the citizens of Ukraine to fix the actions of vandals and report them to the law enforcement authorities or to the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine by phone
