According to data from the OSINT project Oryx, Ukrainian defense forces have destroyed or damaged 100 of these state-of-the-art tanks. This was reported by The Moscow Times on July 16.

Of the total confirmed losses, 53 T-90M tanks were destroyed, while 42 sustained varying degrees of damage.

Additionally, Ukrainian forces captured five "Proryv" tanks.

The number of lost "Proryv" tanks could be even higher, as Oryx separately tracks unidentified tanks hit by Ukrainian defence forces, with 395 such tanks listed.

The T-90M tank was officially adopted by the Russian military in 2020.

In February 2024, during a visit to Uralvagonzavod in Nizhny Tagil, the illegitimate president of the aggressor state, Vladimir Putin, claimed that the "Proryv" was "the best tank in the world," allegedly adding that even the enemy acknowledges this.
