Russia wants to derail a plan of mobilization in Ukraine - said in a comment to "Gordon" MP, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defence, Colonel Yuliy Mamchur.
"It is necessary for Russia at all counts to disrupt the process of mobilization. Hence Putin's statement, that's why they use all the informational powers to play havoc and disrupt this process. We are ready for it. Now we will slowly unfold information work on conduct of mobilization. Of course, we could start it earlier. The most important thing is that the Ukrainian citizens in most cases know that to defend their land and their homes - their sacred duty "- he said.
According to Mamchur, Ukraine should restrict the ability to travel abroad for bound to military service.
"Of course, it is necessary to restrict leaving abroad and there must be control. Every citizen of Ukraine is obliged to defend their homeland under the Constitution. If he tries to escape abroad from performing his constitutional duty, he should be applied to specific interventions. If he had not received the summon, but is trying to leave it means that he is hiding from receiving the summons. The Border Guard Service should have a list of all those who left, and military enlistment office should have a list of all those who mobilized. After comparing these lists it will be clear - who is a traitor, "- said the MP.
According to the colonel, there are many volunteers who want to defend their homeland.
"The mobilization is being held with a little ahead of schedule. There are many volunteers and people who originally decided for themselves that they will defend their country," - said Mamchur.
