It is not ruled out that the mysterious pause in Putin’s public life and demonstration of the film timed to its end are elements of one idea, the ex-Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, former Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Secretary of the Council of National Security and Defence Yevgeny Marchuk said in the comment to the GORDON .
"Whatever president Putin may say in the film and whatever the film producers may show, the operation for annexation of the Crimea was being prepared for a long time. There is a lot of evidence to it. It is bad for us that we are late with informational and awareness activities on these issues. I know that Russia is making a multi-volume illustrated book on the history of the Crimea with "correct" interpretations, maps, archaeology and, certainly, scientific articles. They say that there will even be materials from one Ukrainian academician. Besides, I do not rule out that the mysterious pause in Putin’s public life and demonstration of the film timed to its end are elements of one idea," Marchuk reported.
According to him, the film "Crimea. The Road to the Homeland" is an element of the hybrid informational war.
"This film is nothing but informational and propaganda disguise of the Crimean special operation. The intrigue was created to enhance the effect of sensational truth: film trailer, Putin’s advance texts, advance comments, start of demonstration from Far East. It is a real element of what is now called the hybrid war. The beginning and the end of the Crimean adventure are carried out by informational troops. I suppose that Putin’s rating will reach 99% after the whole country watches the film. The film has its "messages" to the West, especially to the USA. Putin has translated into the everyday language some innovations of the Russian military doctrine related to the possibility of using nuclear weapons and protection of Russian-speaking people outside the Russian Federation," Marchuk said.
