Skipalsky: Putin perfectly understands that once he arrange several mass acts of terrorism in Ukraine, Ukraine will pay back in its own coin
While other countries fight against the threat from Islamists, Ukraine faced saboteurs brought up, armed and directed by Russia, declared the lieutenant general, ex-deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine and former head of the Chief Intelligence Department Alexander Skipalsky.

The Russian President Vladimir Putin intends to keep tension in Ukraine by means of the acts of terrorism, the lieutenant general, ex-deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine and former head of the Chief Intelligence Department Alexander Skipalsky reported in the comment to GORDON.

"Putin and leaders of Russian intelligence services perfectly understand: once they arrange several mass acts of terrorism in Ukraine, Ukraine will pay back in its own coin. It is not so difficult for Ukrainians to arrange an act of terrorism in Russia, considering transparency of borders in the east and historical proximity of our peoples," he reported.

According to the expert, agents will try to carry out diversions without numerous victims, otherwise Ukrainians can do the same in the Russian Federation.

"The nature of the recent acts of terrorism in Kharkiv shows that Russia does not arrange acts of terrorism in public places, but hits locally with as few innocent victims as possible. It means that Putin needs to keep all Ukraine in tension, but without mass victims. The Kremlin perfectly understands that it should not stir up the terrorist flame, otherwise the wind will change its direction, and there might emerge the threat of acts of terrorism in Russia," Skipalsky declared.

Development of the situation depends on the activities of Ukrainian intelligence services, the expert considers.

"Ukraine has become a country with a high risk of terrorist attacks because of Russia. Judging by the latest statements of the Russian President Vladimir Putin and according to the logic of his behavior, the possibility of acts of terrorism in any Ukrainian cities at any time cannot be excluded. Russia needs to keep Ukraine in constant tension. The only rescue is high professionalism, vigilance and readiness for counteraction of the Ukrainian intelligence services," he said.

According to him, while other countries struggle with Islamic terrorists, Ukraine had to face Russian ones.

"While other countries are threatened by international terrorist groups that are mainly connected with Islamists, Ukraine faced terrorists directed, brought up and armed by Russia. I would not name the most vulnerable Ukrainian cities and enterprises since it can spread unnecessary panic among the population," Skipalsky stated.
