"Natalka Cmoс, Ambassador оf Canada to Ukraine, and the UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine, Jaco Cilliers, came to our city with their teamі," – said Mayor Bilousov.
According to him, during the visit, the delegation was introduced to the work of the Office of Recovery and Development, which has become a key platform for attracting investments and coordinating international cooperation.
As part of its cooperation with the UNDP and with funding from the European Investment Bank, Kamianske is implementing 12 large-scale social and infrastructure projects in healthcare, education, and energy efficiency.
"In total, we have attracted approximately 100 million euros in investments to the city," Bilousov stated.
He also highlighted the significant contribution of the Canadian government to the development of the social sector.
"In particular, our community participates in the 'Cities and Communities Free from Domestic Violence' initiative, supported by the governments of Canada and the United Kingdom. Additionally, with financial support from Canada, we have established the Center for Public Health and Rehabilitation," – Bilousov explained.
As part of their visit, delegation members reviewed projects implemented through international cooperation. They toured Lyceum No. 16 and the Center for Sustainability, "Place of Power. Kamianske", where they inspected the upgraded infrastructure and learned about the community’s social initiatives.
“I sincerely thank the Government of Canada and UNDP for their support of the Kamianske community. We remain open to further collaboration and are ready to implement joint initiatives that will drive the city’s development and enhance the quality of life for its residents,” – stated Bilousov, expressing gratitude to international partners.
