The transition of business to online, remote work and the increasingly active use of digital tools in all spheres of life – the trends of 2020 will have a logical continuation in 2021. This has been stated on the air of radio NV by the chairman of the Board of Darnitsa Group Dmytro Shymkiv.
According to him, the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions in certain segments have reduced the revenues of Ukrainian businesses up to 80%.
“Only adaptive companies will survive. Business has to adapt, find other forms of cooperation with clients, use innovations, digital technologies,” said Shymkiv.
He reminded that the Covid crisis this year has accelerated the implementation of solutions that had only been discussed before. According to the forecast, digital platforms, instant messengers and chats, and delivery services will continue to gain momentum in 2021. At the same time, the lockdown continuation will be a hard trial for builders, developers and owners of office premises.
“Remote work reduces the demand for office premises, but it raises the demands to housing. We will want a separate room or a comfortable workplace, as well as space for doing sports. In addition, there are many people who want to stay out of town. Accordingly, the de-urbanization trend will intensify,” added Dmytro Shymkiv.
