The Golden Boy Football Benchmark ranking of the best young talents is based on the players' performance between October 3, 2023 and April 28, 2024.
The founder of FC Rukh, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, congratulated the players and coaches on the prestigious nomination, pointing out their high level.
"The play of these players is a vivid example of the combination of young players' talent and coaching. And for others, it is an incentive for new achievements and victories. We need strong football players, decent people Ukrainians will be proud of. I am very pleased that the Rukh Football Academy is training future stars who will become the pride of Ukraine!" said Kozlovsky.
According to the updated ranking of the best young talents, Slyubyk is ranked 67th, having played in 27 matches (2424 minutes) this season and scoring four goals. Pastukh is ranked 82nd, having played in 25 matches (1764 minutes), scoring four goals and providing two assists.
Today's leader among the nominees is Barcelona winger Lamin Yamal, followed by central midfielders Warren Zaire-Emery (PSG) and Joao Neves (Benfica).
FC Rukh also became the youngest team in the world, according to the International Center for Sports Studies (CIES). They topped the ranking of more than 60 leagues worldwide, where players under the age of 21 play many games with a 52.4% share. In April, FC Rukh became the bronze winner of the UEFA Grassroots Awards for outstanding achievements in working with young players and successful development projects and contributions to the development of European football.
"Rukh is not just the youngest team in the world but also a team that shows good results. In the 2023/24 season, Rukh is fighting to qualify for the European Cups. Now, we have two players nominated for Golden Boy 2024. This shows that real talents are growing in our 'yellow and black' family," Kozlovskyy said.
