Russia has pursued a policy of destroying Ukraine, the journalist Yuri Butusov considers.

At this stage, introduction of martial law is necessary, perhaps, not in the whole country, but at least in the territory of frontline regions – the journalist and editor-in-chief of Censor.NET Yuri Butusov said in the interview to the GORDON.

"We need a certain mechanism of mobilization, and martial art suggests transfer of power to a single management structure. If power is transferred to a single structure in the regions, it will be the best way out. There is real war and we need to take coordinated decisions and strain the resources that are shrinking every month," he said.

According to Butusov, Ukraine has no other alternative.

"We have become stronger now, not because we got money and resources, on the contrary, our economy is growing weaker every month. We have become stronger because people have realized - either we fight or we are destroyed, there is internal support of the decision on the introduction of martial position. For me, this is fundamental rather than some technical details. People do not want to fight, but the state has no other alternative. However, I am not saying that we must introduce martial law now and everywhere," the reporter stated.

Butusov believes that Russian ambassadors must be recalled from Ukraine and diplomatic relations must be suspended.

"At least, ambassadors must be recalled from Russia for consultations as none of our diplomatic moves restrain Putin in any way. I am not saying that we must declare war to Russia, I am saying that we must impose martial law where there is war. I am saying about suspending diplomatic relations with the country that, in fact, is waging war against us. It does not suggest that we abandon the Minsk accords. Negotiations continue, but it is absurd that we must keep Russian diplomats who are engaged in espionage," he said.

According to the journalist, Russia has pursued a policy of destroying Ukraine and sends free Grad rockets instead of free gas.

"I do not think that the Verkhovna Rada and the President have any strategic understanding of what is going on. Unfortunately, our strategy is some kind of non-resistance to the evil. Cities are being bombed, and we are still afraid lest we should upset the Russians," Butusov summed up.
